The Full Story

I’m Sheila Coleman, a native of Chesterfield County, Virginia, where I graduated from Monacan High School. I attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where I received my B. A. from the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, with a major in Political Science and a minor in International Relations.

Growing up in a real estate home, my Mother, Carol Bynum, is the founding Principal Broker of VA Choice Real Estate. I received my Real Estate license in April 2003. I began my real estate career working in a real estate office as the office assistant and transaction coordinator. I expanded my real estate experience into construction and founded J.C. Bynum Construction, a Class A construction company headquartered in Chesterfield County, Virginia. In February 2017, Virginia’s Governor, Terry McAuliffe, appointed me to the Virginia Board for Contractors. On February 28th, 201,7 I was sworn in as the first African American woman to hold a position on the Board.

I’m passionate about real estate, and I love what I do.

I look forward to assisting you with your real estate needs.
